2027 River Restoration Symposium

Celebrating 25 Years

of RRNW's Annual River Restoration Symposium

Thanks for joining us for the 2027 River Restoration Symposium—an essential gathering for professionals dedicated to the science and practice of river restoration. This annual event at Skamania Lodge brings together engineers, scientists, planners, policymakers, and community leaders to share knowledge, explore innovative solutions, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration in river restoration efforts. This year marks both the 25th anniversary of the symposium and River Restoration Northwest as a nonprofit scientific and educational organization. We look forward to celebrating these milestones with you.

Our Commitment

River Restoration Northwest is dedicated to providing a supportive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants. By attending an RRNW event, you agree to uphold these standards of professional and personal conduct.

Professional Behavior

  • Inclusion: We reject all forms of discrimination or harassment based on race, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected status.
  • Respectful Dialogue: Communicate with consideration and collaborate in good faith. Critique ideas, not individuals.
  • Prohibited Conduct: Physical or verbal abuse, stalking, threatening behavior, bullying, or professional sabotage is strictly prohibited.

Ethical Use of AI Tools

To maintain transparency and technical trust, participants using AI-assisted materials must:

  • Disclose: Clearly label any AI-generated visual or audio content (e.g., in a slide note or caption).
  • Obtain Consent: Do not use AI-generated or altered imagery of real people without their explicit written consent.
  • Maintain Accountability: Ensure AI-generated content does not mislead the audience regarding real events, locations, or scientific conditions. Presenters remain responsible for the technical accuracy of all AI-assisted content.

Reporting & Consequences

Any participant experiencing or witnessing behavior that constitutes a threat to safety should contact emergency services or on-site security immediately. For other violations, notify an RRNW board or staff member or email president@rrnw.org.

  • Compliance: Anyone requested to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
  • Enforcement: RRNW reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary to protect the integrity of the event and the safety of its participants. This includes immediate removal from the event without a refund and potential restriction from future RRNW participation.

Can I register early in November and pay by check in January?
